Long-term health issues

I have a speciality and passion for helping people with a long-term illness or disability to make the most of their situation.

Coaching can help people in these less-than-ideal situations to work with what they have got and can do, rather than concentrating on the problems.

I have written a report "10 tips for living postively with a long-term health condition".  Click here to receive a copy of the reportI will also email to you occasional inspirational and motivational tips.  (See
privacy statement).

Back to work

I help to bridge the gap between the work-place and the long-term sick / disabled.

I aim to get individuals back in to suitable employment as quickly as possible in a way that protects the health and wellbeing of the individual and supports the needs of the business.

I work with the individual and the managers in the business, and other employees if necessary, to identify what each wants and needs.

Benefits for the business:

  • Reduced sick pay

  • Save costs on recruitment and re-training

  • Time saving for the management freeing time for core business

  • Reduced stress on managers and staff involved

  • Seen to be a good, caring employer

  • Happier, more flexible employees

Benefits for the employee:

  • Earlier return to work and full pay

  • Sense of being valued

  • Time and space to identify how to make the job more accessible

  • Time and space to consider other positions in the organisation if original job is not possible

  • Time and space to consider other options, even if this is outside of the current organisation

By working with the employee and the company, I can provide independant, impartial support to achieve the best outcome for all parties involved.
